I'm sorry that I am not answering your query, but when I saw from where it was originating, I figured I had to get in touch with you.
I was scoping out real estate prices in the Rochester to Canadaigua area online (as well as checking for marinas in the Rochester area on Lake Ontario) recently & was very surprised at how reasonably priced they seemed to be vs. our neck of the woods.
How long have you sailed there? How many months of sailing can one get in out of Rochester? I know that Lake Erie is relatively shallow & this presents some problems when thunderstorms hit the area as the waves are whipped up pretty high & there have been a number of stories of boats going down as a result...how does Lake Ontario compare?
