Double photos

When pulling images from sources other than ones that you've stored, don't hit the Insert Inline button after the photos have up loaded. That way you don't get double images. At least that's the way it works for me. Anyone interested in a 93' Yanmar 2GM20F with 500 hrs. on the clock. Just kidding. I'm keeping it as a spare.

Please try it with two photos and let's see what happens.

(also, the image is supposed to be enlargeable, not uncontrollably huge)

To explain, I had posted that to follow Al's technique meant the photos failed to appear on mobile devices.

But then I opened his post on my iPhone and there it was.

There seems to be no consistency at all.

Doubles

Here's two using the same technique. Made as small as my computer allows.

Al's workaround works. These were uploaded but not "inserted online"

Unfortunately don't appear in the editing pane, so can't be moved around like text.

I've had a number of different experiences, none of which I've had time to understand.

-- if I insert a photo downloaded from my phone, it almost always gets posted 90-degrees off

attachment.php

-- if I load that same photo into 'paint' (or similar), "save as" - WITHOUT changing the orientation - and insert it... it is correctly oriented.

attachment.php

...and, if I insert an image that I downloaded from the interwebs, it may or may not have an associated thumbnail, apparently at random

attachment.php

Huh. And now I have apparently cracked the double-image code. Or something.

I inserted all three images "in line" with my text, but they just showed up in the text as links and the thumbnails for all three are below

(confused)

Me too. The thumbnails are there (on my phone). But the embedded pics just come thru as links.

Figured a Saturday AM attempt to insert 1 image (and one only) successfully was worth the try. Here goes...

No clue why it appears so large, but at least it's 'only 1'. It was 'dragged into the field' as directed and showed up initially as a link in the 'Manage Attachments' field.

Oh well, at least the coffee is hot, 'cuz it's raining with thunderstorms predicted, intermittently, all day. Ugh.
