Our marina opens April 15th. Last year due to constructing a new sliding companionway hatch, I launched mid June. Today, my oldest son and I towed Awela to the lake and effiiciently rigged, hoisted the mast, and launched, and tied up as the first boat on our dock. I would have grabbed a pic but a fierce storm cell rolled in and we headed for cover. My wife and youngest helped our sailing club bring boats over from the winter storage barn to the lake and started getting boats ready for the season. Our learn to sail sessions and club races are just a few weeks away. Work commitments will probably keep me away from the lake until late May. My oldest is now 16 and driving, and I have a bunch he's going to spend quite a bit of time fishing out of our 14' fishing boat and sleeping over on our Ericson 25. I'm not quite ready for that reality.
