Leadership?

I teach classes on leadership for aspiring principals and school administrators. I'm going to use this video in my classes...those comments at the end of the video can lead to a lot of good discussion about what happens in schools. (Not to mention... it's also a sobering reminder of how fast things can go bad, really bad). thanks for sharing

A remarkable real-time look at what it's like when a sled cracks up.

How do you run aground on a charted reef in today's GPS-electronics world?

How does a skipper get to say, in the most vague and coy way possible, that somehow it was sort of not his fault, because...you can't supervisor every crew member all the time?

Hmmmm.

I was wondering the same thing. I know he can't be awake all the time and has to trust his crew but a REEF?

This could have gone so much worse. Lucky they all made it ok.

."In fact, to see it on our electronic charts, you have to zoom right in on top of it. But how and why would you zoom into it if you don’t know it’s there in the first place? So whilst we don’t know exactly what happened on Vestas, we can imagine how it happened.”
