I need to purchase a storm sail to meet ORC recommendations for single handed racing. The standard is a sail with 5% of the area of the fore-triangle height squared. Please excuse my novice questions but is the height of the fore-triangle the same as the height of my mast plus the cabin height above the fore-deck which on my E-35mk11 is about 43'6"? What would the optimum dimensions be of a storm sail on a E35. Thanks as always.

The height of your fore-triangle is the "I" measurement. As to size, Phil McFarlane would be the one to know. He has s/h raced his 35 to Hawaii several times.
