I have two fresh water tanks. One forward and one aft, estimated combined holding 60 gallons. But the water at my Marina is...not as good as the tap water at home so I reuse gallon water bottles.
I am sure most of you know you can crush and "reinflate" these bottles almost endlessly, though you should cycle them on occasion.
To refill I blow the bottle up like a balloon, rinse, then fill. The weight of the water fills out the rest of the bottle.
I use the tank water for cleaning and the bottled water for drinking and cooking.
I store most of it under the seats in the salon and some of it forward. The bottles smoosh up nicely and I can store 20 plus empties in a bag taking up little room.
It has saved me a few dollars over the last couple years.
