We just got back from a week's sailing in Canada's Gulf Islands. We attended the Ericson Rendezvous at Poet's Cove along with 22 other Ericson boats. It was amazing! I haven't seen any other posts from other attendees or from the organizer, Stuart Mackenzie, but maybe I just missed them while we were sailing. Our experience was a very positive one, and I encourage everyone in the region to try and attend next year's version. We have reserved 30 slips! It was wonderful to meet other Ericson owners and see how they have met the challenges we all face by choosing to sail in our "Good Old Boats." (pardon the name theft, but it seemed appropriate). Like ours, most of these boats have had at least some their systems recently upgraded/replaced. I particularly enjoyed seeing all of the interior mods and have made note of some changes I want to implement on Papillon. I took photos of every boat I could see on Sunday morning and will be happy to make them available to anyone interested in seeing them. I understand that Stuart and Heather are going to put up a website with all the photos and some stories about the rendezvous. I'm sure they will post the link in the (near ?) future.
