Ahoy all, I bought #243 two months ago and have been working hard to re-do the interior to make her a liveaboard/cruiser. When I got her she had no plumbing, wiring, cushions, stove, head, motor or sails. I have installed new 12v and 110v systems and lots of new shelvess/lockers.I put in two shelves outboard of the dinnette(w/ new elect. panel) replaced the quarter berth with a raised aft facing chart table (with wet lkr.),built in a work bench and a refer where the stbd seat was, added a drawer under the hanging locker and a dish locker aft of the galley.

Hi,

It sounds as if you had your work cut out for you when you bought this boat, so it's good you're making progress! There are lots of experts on this site and great information on just about any problem you might encounter, especially if you make use of the search function.

Good luck in completing your projects!

Congrats on all the interior work you've been doing. I have hull #134. When we bought her, there was a little work to be done on the inside, but most of the work we did was performance related. We took out the starboard berth/cushion in the cabin and affixed a board in there to turn that entire area into gear storage.
The new project is the galley area. The PO installed a single burner butane stovetop, with a toaster oven and a microwave, both running off an inverter attached to a large golf cart-style battery that weighed a ton and blocked access to the back side of the engine. We pulled the battery, and now we're pulling the burner/toaster oven/microwave set up in favor of a gimbled, two burner propane stove. We do a lot of off shore sailing and needed something a little more useful underway.
Keep up the good work.

Greetings back! The hard part is over as you now OWN the boat and commitment is there ( like it or not) And you found all the answers you will ever need for the price of asking. Now it is just time and money! Add both liberally, stir and before you know it you will have the vessel of your dreams. Post often and have fun. Edd:egrin:

A shot of the wood burning fireplace that I installed in the forward cabin.
