Although marine quality is often better (and worth some extra money) which is important for electronics and other stuff that needs to withstand the harsh marine environment, I have had good success buying some generic supplies from non-marine stores at much better prices.
But for stuff that needs to last, there are three chandleries in Canada that I favour: Harbour Chandler in Nanaimo, BC;
Each of these is generally well-stocked, provides pretty good service, ships to many locations and often has sales or specials. The Harbour Chandler in Nanaimo provides a 10% discount on non-sale items for members of the Nanaimo Yacht Club, and other chandleries will often have similar arrangements so it's worth asking.

The Harbour Chandler
Harbour Chandler is a locally owned and operated business that has had its doors open to the public since 1985. What has made us so successful over the years is our well-stocked shelves, our fair prices and our efforts to find whatever it is that our customers are looking for.
