How Do You Clean Your Lifelines??

Curiously enough, I just cleaned my lifelines on our '87 E34. I've found acetone - applied with a terrycloth towel - to be very effective. After cleaning and depending upon the condition of the outer covering, you can wipe the lines with a 10% solution of Armorall or similar protectant, being sure to wipe it all off so you're still able to get a good grip! Good luck.
