My reasonably new to me E38-200 had an overheating issue and after cheching all the threads on this issue and doing everything else I could think of I still didn't see any one thing that should have caused it.
While replacing the hoses to the hot water heater (major pain, ripping up floor, removing water tank, etc.) TA DA! The exhaust hose was kinked almost shut!
Before the muffler there is an elbow, 6" or so before that the hose was bent almost shut and needed another elbow to make the curve properly. So before you rip that last lock of hair out of your scalp, take a look. This area of your boat is the absolute bowel and a pain to even see forget reach, but I'll bet alot of owners problems are there.
