Liquid nail usage on fiberglass

I want to rework the divider that separates the port lazarette from the remainder of the below decks area. Presently the divider permits small items to filter down around the prop shaft. Essentially I want cut a piece of 3/8 inch plywood to fit and then liquid nail it to the top of the locker. Additionally I want to liquid nail sections of 1x1 to the floor of the locker to provide some lateral support at the hull level. My question is this – what is the opinion of using liquid nail against the fiberglass, particularly against the hull? If this isn’t a real good idea what are some simple recommended alternatives. Incidentally I have a 1977 E-27.

Liquid Nails? Why wouldn't you use resin and glass-the
same materials the boat was built from? Incidentally, epoxies
have better secondary bonding characteristics than
polyesters-however either will work.
