More seriously... I ask our pro rigger if their crew might be able to identify your pin, and providedthemnwith the location where it was found, cockpit.
Their reply:
"I'm not 100% sure where that came from. It might be from the gooseneck or the vang."
At least they didn't say it might come from the foredeck. Good luck.
