Mainsail Chart Plotter Mount for Edson Pedestals

In the process of installing a chart plotter and would like to go with the pedestal guard mount that Mainsail was selling on his Marinehowto.com site.
Looks like he is no longer selling them so I'll have to make one. Has anyone bought one that can share the measurements ?

I used one of these for a couple of seasons before replacing with a mount I made from a piece of IPE I had lying around. Don't have any measurements , I would need to go to the marina to measure.

One solution is just to mock up whatever box you desire, then have it copied in acrylic by a local plastics shop. Not expensive. The easy attachment to rails is this mount from WM.

Nice. I hadn't thought of using wood. On the hunt for a piece of teak !

Had considered that after seeing your post in the past. My aim is to have less at the helm. My wheel pilot control head is already in the combing at the right of the helm.

More of what I have in mind. Picked up some of the rail clamps from WM as well as some 1" clamp collars and will experiment with a couple of variations.
What did you cut the starboard with ?

I made a simple radius jig and used a router.

[to house the wheel pilot controller] I sketched a custom acrylic box to use a Garmin bracket like that of the GPS. Santa Monica Plastics made it for $140. Both instruments rest on a Star Board and Trex platform backed by a teak cup holder. It works fine. You can also use wood, glue-weld your own plastic, repurpose a 5” electrical junction box, have Maine Sail make you one or buy a nav pod for that clunky, expensive look.

Thanks All! Mission accomplished. Raised the pedestal guard up 8" with some scrap tubing and a pair of tubing couplers. Fabricated the platform out of a cutting board and some stainless shaft collars from Amazon.
Total cost just under $80.
