Navtec Hydraulic System for Sale

EngineerSailing

Member II
After getting my cylinders back from being rebuilt in early April, I've decided that hydraulics is too complicated for a solo cruising sailor.
Navtec has its place for those that like chasing that last 1/2knot or so, but just cruising its not me.
So I'm pulling it off my boat and going with simple traditional mechanical rigging.

Cylinders just rebuilt
Hoses fairly new
all the parts you need for backstay and vang

Asking $2,400 plus shipping if you don't come pick up, willing to negotiate or good trade
I'm in Sale Creek Marina outside Chattanooga, TN for July.

please see attached photos or ask questionsIMG_20240702_104013981.jpgIMG_20240702_103924180.jpgIMG_20240702_103910752.jpgIMG_20240702_103831589.jpgIMG_20240702_103805627.jpgIMG_20240702_103115377.jpgIMG_20240702_091110918.jpgIMG_20240702_091016181.jpg

hi, Can anyone guide me in to the pricing for a used Navtec system?
I priced based on getting a new Vang plus shipping and installation, and hoped that it would move quick for what i felt was a low price.
Is it possible i've priced so too low no one would consider it ?

I don't think your price is too out of line. I am at a crossroads whether to overhaul my system as it was disconnected. The NAVTEC rig shop I go to offered me a rebuilt backstay ram for $400. Hoses he stated would run $1000. When talking overhaul of the pump...just look at the parts prices. I will probably stripe mine out but hold onto it for restoration later or a new owner. My only interest then are in the two rams...

hoping for a quick sale, I'm going to have to move my boat soon before TVA drops the water level and need to empty the storage unit

Truthfully, it’s probally not worth much, if anything. Very small market for a used hydraulic backstay tensioner.

you could get more exposure if you list it on S/A.
