I've been told by a local CBP officer that the ROAM App-based system can now be used in our area. It had been under evaluation on the East Coast. It provides a way of checking in without making a phone call or (and of this I'm not sure) going to the dock.

I installed it without problems on my iphone, but have not had occasion to use it. Does anyone have experience with it?
