I just upgraded version of openCPN (to 2.6.1705). Not sure if this is old news, but in this version it is possible to launch hyperlinks from waypoints. So for example, google earth (if you have internet), or screen shots, photos, navigation or cruising log notes. Launches in external program default for the appropriate extension.

Anyone else using this?
