I have been trying to figure out a new storage area for my propane (instead of the starbord cockpit locker) on my 1976 ericson 36c for a while but have come to realize that I should first figure out exactly how much propane I need.
I plan on doing a circumnavigation for a few years with my girlfriend and have maybe a couple of friends come on board now and then for maybe a few weeks at a time. I would like to go to some fairly out of the way places along the way as well. I only use the propane for cooking on a three burner stove with oven.
I was thinking of trying to put two 20lb tanks on board but I was wondering if this much is necessary?
Any opinions out there?
