As an old microbiology professor, I was pretty horrified at, not just the lack of precautions, but egregious cross-contamination going on at the grocery store last week, by which time they really, really should have known better.

One news story from about two weeks back reported that some jerk in a grocers association newsletter was recommending that stores NOT be seen to be cleaning or sanitizing anything, because it would make customers think the store is dirty. I think they should tie that guy to a post out front, where we can all spit on him.

The other store in town now has on-line ordering. No delivery out here in BFE, but they will bring your order out to your car.
