I am confused on your question

The Id plate is most likely correct.

The transmission may or may not be cooled. If it is (Most Likely) there will be a oil cooler for it that either has raw or fresh water running through it.

If you can further refine your question, I would be happy to give you more specific answers.

refined question on v-drive

thanks for the reply Guy,
OK, I'm wondering where in the sequence I run raw water hoses to the v-drive. The manual says to run the raw water to the transmission cooler after the sea strainer then to the pump, then to the oil cooler then the heat exchanger and finally into the exhaust elbow and over board. The system now seems to follow this sequence well, all the coolers are in line with very little bends and turns. The v-drive is about three feet forward of the transmission.
