Water Purification for Aluminum Tanks

Hi All,

Unfortunately I still have the original aluminum tank in my E31 and will not replace until next year. I was searching the post and could not find anything for purifying the water when using an aluminum tank. I once read that you can't use bleach for purification water for aluminum tanks. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

I have stainless tanks in my E38. I used this http://www.defender.com/product.jsp?path=-1|51|299223|740898&id=121582 this season. It worked great and the water is drinkable out of the tanks. Not so last season. RT

I don't know your set up, but I have two 20 gallon tanks which I thoroughly flush out at least four times a year,

With a water filter I purchased at home depot the taste is fine-though we drink bottled water mostly.

We do use it for coffee/cooking and I've had no complaints. Our water in SoCal is relatively hard.
