    E28 Reefing question

I've had my E28 for less than a year and I'm trying to figure out how to reef it correctly. The instructions I have are attached. Is this the correct method? It does not seem to work well when I try it. Any help would be appreciated. Geoff E28 Katia Christina

    E28-2 Info....

I have a 28-2 and love the boat. It's a perfect size. My boat has a Universal 10 hp diesel engine with about 2,500 hours. Seems to run fine but I do wish I had a little more power. I've used both tiller and wheel and both are about the same to me. One advantage to a tiller is the use of a tiller...

    Walbro Fuel Pump Noise Question

Good advice! What model of Facet pump would work? I'm going to remove the nut at the bottom and see if there is any junk to clean out. Maybe that will quiet it down a bit. Thanks.

    Walbro Fuel Pump Noise Question

The fuel pump supplier is still in business but I've had a horrible time trying to get their contact information. Their web site is in need of a lot of repairs. I'm going to try and call them tomorrow to see if they can help me but so far, I'm not impressed.

Fresh water in bilge but where is it coming from?

Thanks for the explanation Frank. You are correct, the E28+ does not have a cockpit pocket.

Fresh water in bilge but where is it coming from?

Thank you for the tips. I'm not sure I know what a cockpit "pocket" in the coaming is. Do you have a picture?

Fresh water in bilge but where is it coming from?

That makes sense. Thanks for the follow-up on this. I'll do a good investigation.

    Walbro Fuel Pump Noise Question

I can't hear it from the helm except for when turning on the ignition key; but just barely. As far as order of systems, tank, fuel/water separator, fuel pump, and fuel filter. Thats the order of the system. Here is a link to a video:

    Walbro Fuel Pump Noise Question

Thanks for the input Frank. The motor is running smooth and seems to have plenty of power for a 10 hp. There is a drain screw at the bottom of the pump. I've never tried to drain it though. There is another Ericson 28 near my boat so I'll check with them to see if they have that issue...

Fresh water in bilge but where is it coming from?

On the deck. It dose not go through the cabin.

Fresh water in bilge but where is it coming from?

Deck stepped mast. I've checked that area closely and there are no signs of any water coming in around the mast.

Fresh water in bilge but where is it coming from?

Thanks for the input Frank. I thought it might be the locker lids too but I think it would be difficult for water to get into the locker since there is a drainage trough flange around the outside of the locker lid that dumps to the cockpit. I suppose its possible though since you had that...

Fresh water in bilge but where is it coming from?

Thank you for your thoughts on this. If it were to coming from the base of the bottom of the mast I should be able to feel a wet area when I unzip the ceiling liner. It's completely dry. Additionally, I had a rigger recently remove my mast to replace the standing rigging. I covered the mast base...

Fresh water in bilge but where is it coming from?

I'm a new owner of a 1987 Ericson 28. I have a question regarding fresh water accumulating in the bilge. After a heavy snow I noticed my bilge was nearly full with fresh water. I pumped the water out and checked it again a few days later and found quite a bit of water again. We've had lots of...

    Walbro Fuel Pump Noise Question

I'm a new owner of a 1987 Ericson 28 with a 10HP Universal engine. I've never had a boat of this size before and I'm new to diesel engines. I have a question regarding fuel pumps. When I turn on the ignition key, there is a loud clicking sound coming from the fuel pump. I believe this is normal...
