What's on your list for commissioning season 2024?

It's just around the corner, right? Right!? Wondering what y'all have in mind for projects this year before we delve into the peak of sunset cocktail season. I would have put this thread in Maintenance and Mechanical but it seems more like a chat topic than mechanical advice/guidance...

You are crazy. And they look great.

    Salon table pedestal

Anyone have dimensions on a suitable replacement for a 32-3? I broke mine a few years ago and have never found a replacement that fits right for depth and such. Might just need to hacksaw a different table's central column, I guess.

Thanks to you for hosting, Sean, and thank you to all the regular and engaged posters who contribute to this site's wealth of information.

    Canvas cockpit enclosure

Iverson did a really good job with my dodger on the 32-3. I'm 6' and still struggle with seeing over or under it, though. You have to make it pretty tall to be able to see through it consistently.

    32-3 havers - what's your tacking angle?

I had a race where I reefed the main before the genoa and I swear it was the right move. Like you say, felt totally locked in the groove. I feel like if I'm going close-hauled, though, I don't sail very well under genoa-only. I think the main helps a good amount with point-ability.

    32-3 havers - what's your tacking angle?

Wow sorry I posted and disappeared, I was expecting e-mail notifications if someone replied -- I need to check my settings. So on my boat I have: 4 year old sails, a dacron fully battened main and a cruising laminate 135% genoa Bottom is cleaned monthly and was just recently cleaned 3 blade...

    32-3 havers - what's your tacking angle?

What angle do yall tack through and if you have the instruments, how close to the wind can you sail? I think I have some rig tuning issue bc I swear I used to be able to tack tighter than this.

    So about my rudder post

Thanks all. The grease is coming out of a little stress fracture to the right of the shiny zerk -- I think the old zerk is the rusty knob to the left of it. I'm not leaking and I guess the rudder post won't suddenly fracture? So thanks for assuaging my anxiety :)

    So about my rudder post

I was enthusiastically greasing my Zerk earlier today when I noticed grease start coming out of somewhere it shouldn't... the post itself. not really sure what I'm looking at or the severity of it. I assume I should get another layer of glass around it somehow? The zerk fitting itself also...

    Ericson 32-3 Fwd Dorade/Cowl size?

Has yours started turning yellow/crazing? I replaced my two aft vents with ones like this and they're starting to look like my old ones did.

    Ericson 32-3 Fwd Dorade/Cowl size?

Hi all, long time no post. Anyone happen to know if the forward cowl vent on the dorade box is a 3" or 4" Or something else?

    Two Ericsons finished Swiftsure 2022

    Instant coffee

I kinda trend towards the fancy side of coffee things, so don't balk, but the 1zpresso Q2 is good for small doses of coffee, good for an aeropress. I also have a Lido 3 which lets me grind a ton of beans if I'm gonna make a french press. The Timemore C2 is a popular one these days too, and...

    Two Ericsons finished Swiftsure 2022

For the first time since 2019, the Swiftsure Yacht race took place out of Victoria, BC over Memorial Day weekend. For those unfamiliar, it consists primarily of the "Four Long Courses", which are four challenging distance races various ways down, and out of, the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Two...
