I'm considering replacing the furling line cam cleat on my lower deck with a single inline rope clutch, because it's difficult to lock the line off when it's under load. Has anyone done this or planned it or have experience with it? (e34-2).

the holding tank vent tube on my 34-2 runs along the top of the lazarette then straight out the transom. I know this because I replaced it once after over filling and getting air lock :( see above for advice on fluids

my 89 34-2 has the exact same hose, same fitting and combination of hoses right behind the door. I have often wondered what it is for.
I’d like to learn more about your composting toilet upgrade. If I ever have to replace the head I would probably do that too.
Just a thought you may want to not put that back. I had a leaky one and the rigger removed it completely. It sits in box. We dont miss it. Something more to break that can also inflict damage on the rig if not used carefully .
The crud (asphaltenes?) may have come from some organisms ? I cleaned the tank in 2021… that’s 34 years . I am very careful with what I put in the tank .
The baffle should become apparent from welds or dimples. Tap the surface. I put an inspection camera in through the fittings to have a look.
