The rachet block I put on the pushpit takes all the load when when pressure is on it while I am furling - so cleating is made simple. So the thing actually was leaking. I loosened it all the way and worked it back and forth and then closed it firmly. And then more firmly. It appears to not be dribbling at all now.

Christian, I remember reading something about you putting in some plates for inspection on the fuel tank. Did you have to clean the tank? And, this is now way off-thread, but was there sludge in the tank?

I really wanted to. The space seems to be a little too little.

Thanks for sharing this, it made me realize that there are multiple players in this - ABYC, Boat Builders, whoever the PO was and what was done to the boat prior, Coast Guard, Insurance, and others. I have to seriously doubt they will have identical lists.

Loren and Christian are right about the radius on the bends - do look carefully at what is there to see if it is what should be there... I replaced the cables (E34-2) with what was printed on them. It did take removing them to find the numbers. Make sure to use some sort of messenger line...
