thought I would update this post with our finished work. Be kind :)

Let the questions begin.... We have two large ugly spots on the wing of our keel, the Chandler told us to use the 3M premium filler but the label says not to use on lead. Has anyone had to fill spots on their keels? if so what did you use and what was the outcome.

We chose to go with our first choice, the "unicorn frankenboat" we are quite smitten with her.

does anyone else have a made in Mexico plate in their boat?

that is an impressive crack. Fingers crossed it is a cosmetic fix for us. It is another thing that seems to have been omitted from our report.

This is what the surveyor taped off on the deck at the chain locker, the cabin/v berth has no apparent water intrusion

We have looked at a few Ericson's so far, we have three others lined up for the next few weeks. We just happen to like this boat and as much as we want to walk away, she keeps calling us back.

I suppose i should say we are not afraid to roll up our sleeves and get our hands dirty, what we have problems with is the order of operations and what is the right way to make a purchase. This boat has been on the hard for 3+years, the fuel tank is half full, it's not been winterized...
