Nice! Simpler than my design using angle G10, and likely just as sturdy. I also extended our SS guard tubing to keep enough room above the plotter for a place to grab onto.

The photo below is of our helm and its instrumentation. We don't have an NMEA backbone, but I can see all instruments easily from the helm. In really foul weather we could conceivably shelter below the dodger and steer with the auto pilot. The simrad is also wirelessly linked to my iPad, so you can view and/or manipulate the screen from inside the cabin.
