Suggested cruising guides for B.C. Gulf Islands

Greetings, My wife and I are planning a 10-12 day cruise from Bellingham, WA up into the Canadian Gulf Islands. I am looking for any good literature ( cruising guides) on this majestic Island group. I have Bill Wolferstan's "Cruising guide to the Gulf Islands & a good set of Canadian charts...

    Gulf Coast Marina

Sailing here in Illinois is real poor this time of year -- so ----- my brother and I are making plans to tow my E25 to the Gulf. I'm up for suggestions as to where might be a good spot to launch the boat and store my PU/trailer while we're on the water (8 - 10 days). The E25 draws 2' with the...

Sailing Across the Gulf of Mexico

Looking toward the future and retirement in four more years, I'm thinking of having my 1977 E32 trucked from California to either Texas or Louisiana and then sailing across the Gulf of Mexico to the port of Progreso on the northern tip of the Yucatan Peninsula. My wife is from Merida and we...

    Looking for Gulf Coast Yard...

As a survivor of Katrina here in the municipal harbor of New Orleans, I feel truly blessed that my boat still floats, but am in a bind when it comes to finding a yard in this area that can handle the handful of projects that need addressing. There are few workers and a backlog of work at the...

Any Preferred Spots in the Gulf Islands you want to share (Stuart???)

I'm querrying the group to see if you have any preferred moorages in the Gulf Islands South of Nanaimo? I've been to Poet's Cove, but plan on heading a little further North this year weather permitting? Additionally, I would like some recommendations on where we can pull in to take showers...

    Florida Gulf Coast - E25s

So, are there any Ericson folks in the Tampa/StPete area? I'm still in the process of learning... My 1975 E25 is a fixed keel model w/ the tall mast (and a main apparently from a "regular" height mast). Still primarily a "day sailer" on week-ends in Boca Ciega Bay near Gulfport.
