    WANTED - Teak Handrails for 1978 E27

Hey! I am looking for some nice teak handrails for my 1978 E27. Currently I have those ugly black ones and would love to get some teak on my deck. I am located in Marina Del Rey, LA, CA Thanks!

    Attaching interior handrails ?

Now that the new portholes are getting in place it is time to start looking at how to install interior handrails. I want to install them under the portholes along the molding in the picture below. (They will not interfere with the porthole dogs.) What worries me is that I have no idea...

    Handrails and Core

Good day, I have several questions that roll up into one. I own a 74 29' Ericson. I attempted to remove the handrails yesterday and was unable to get several of the stainless bolts out. The two at the ends were easy because of the holes going through to the liner, but the ones that are under the...

    Epoxy to re-bed handrails

Folks, I had discovered that under heavy rain my e29 leaks from under handrails. It leaks a bit from main cabin portholes - but handrails need to be tackled first. It seems like PO did not do a good job reattaching them after refinish. Now I need to re-bed but want to take a quick poll on what...

    Handrails E-35 MK II

Greetings I'm new and this is my first post. My old 1970 E-35 has had the handrails come loose and begin leaking terribly. The port side was the worst and had to be removed with a saws-all and a chisel. The screws from the factory (and a few added by the previous owner into the deck)were screwed...

    Caulking Exterior Wood Handrails

Here is a question for all you Brightwork Masters. What is the correct procedure for cauking Handrails that have been stripped of varnish and ready for new varnish and caulking 1. Caulk the bare wood and varnish the Handrail above the caulking line. 2. Varnish the Handrail, then apply the...

    Rebedding handrails on an E27

About to tackle this job and looking for words of advice. It appears i only have access to the end bolts on the handrails due to the inner headliner. Are the others just screws as I can see the outside ones (fore and aft) are bolts with nuts on the inside, please advise. Thanks jarod

    Stainless Steel Handrails

I had a request for the info on my new hand rails so here's the scoop. Let me start by saying … I hate varnishing … for me it has no socially redeeming qualities. All varnishing does, is take away from otherwise perfectly good sailing days. Sure it looks nice … for about two days. Then...

    1974 E27 Handrails

I wish to re-bed the handrails on my E27. Does anyone know if I can simply remove the teak plugs and unscrew the rails? I did not know if the screws were machine with nuts underneath that may fall off, or if there is a threaded boss, or simply a large self tapping screw. Thanks in advance. Steve
