Two Harbors Gets New Moorings Reservation System
“One of the biggest issues we find is that boaters are tentative about coming over to Two Harbors if they don’t know whether they are going to have a mooring,” said Two Harbors’ harbormaster Phillip Winter. “We now can offer the security to...
That's the connection speed I got this past weekend moored at Isthmus Cove. I use Verizon Wireless Broadband, and have the UM175 USB adapter, which is plugged into a Cradlepoint PHS-300 Persona Hot Spot WiFi router.
PHS-300.
(Oh darn! How come tags don't work?)
Two Harbors This weekend.
Hopefully it will be a bit thinned out by now because the kids are back in school. If anyone's going over, keep an eye out for "The Pride of Cucamonga" an myself. Leaving Friday AM, Back Sunday PM.
:egrin:
The kids have no school tomorrow, so we're probably heading to Two harbors tomorrow afternoon, and will probably return Sunday. Will we be seeing other Ericsons in the harbor?
I will be a the Isthmus (Two Harbors) from Friday Oct 20th through Sunday Oct 23rd. Stop by and visit if you see this boat. Probably the only E-27 with a radar mast on the stern you will see there.
Cheers:cheers:
Buccaneer Days at Two Harbors had some problems. I guess one person died. I have a friend who works in Emergency Services who was moored at Fisherman's cove and he saw the body come in to the office and then airlifted out. Apparently this guy got in a fight with his girl friend and took off...
Hello So. Cal Ericson Owners,
We are Greg and Melissa (and canine Matey) of the s/v Pacifica,
Berkeley, California is our normal home, but we are taking a year to do a Mexico/Hawaii cruise. For at least the next week or so (maybe two) we will be anchored in Two Harbors. We have a very...

Left on Wednesday morning, hit 20 knots winds (maybe) got the old bird up to 8.4 knots. We just flew over there. Got soaked, the swells were something to behold. Should have reefed the main, but a sail like that is what it's all about.
Water was incredibly warm for diving.
Cleaned my hull...
Two Harbors was crowded!
Here's a couple shots of the dinghy dock on Friday. Saturday it was three and four dinghy's deep! I'm waiting until fall to go back, when it thins out a bit. Still fun though.:soapbox:
It was too crowded at Two Harbors
Here are the few photos I took at Catalina this past weekend with my friend Todd. It was too crowded at Two Harbors to get a mooring, so we went up to Emerald Bay and got one in front of Indian Rock. This is the first time I have been turned away at the...
I am planing a Two Harbors Trip for Friday August 4th thru Sunday August 6th.
The Cucamonga will be shoving off no later than 10:00 Hundred Hours on Friday August 4th with a ETA at Two Harbors of 14:30 Hundred Hours (2:30pm).
I will be keeping a look out for other EYO boats!
 :cheers...
It's looking awfully nice out there... but the possibility of a nasty Santa Ana lingers... just read the "hazardous weather" warning that it could blow hard this weekend, but I'm thinking - what if it doesn't? Could be a great weekend with warm temps and some nice hiking over there. What do you...
Just wondering - what are the odds of snagging a mooring next Saturday at Two Harbors? Would the fact that many people have a three day weekend (Martin Luther King day) mean that all the moorings would be taken by noon Saturday?
I'm thinking of a two day trip next weekend - coming back Sunday...
Heading back to Two Harbors this weekend! I'll be there Friday-Sunday.
Any other EY.com folks going over again? I have good friends (Two Couples) that are celebrating joint wedding anniversary's. They have rented out half the Banning House. Other boats in this rendezvous are a Cal 29...

Hi All
Here are the first batch of photos from my first Catalina Trip of the year with my old buddy, Evergreen Slim from Seattle. We had outstanding weather that allowed us a great sail across the channel with winds up to 21 knots and six foot seas for the last 5 miles, as well as great...
Gathering of the So. Cal. Vikings at Two Harbors (Isthmus) on Catalina Island.
There has been a considerable amount of discussion about a Gathering of Ericson Owners under the post: "So. Cal. Sailors where are they". I have sort of taken the helm to try to organize a gathering at Two Harbors...
