I finally got around to the loose ends of figuring out the Kubota cross-reference of parts for the Universal 5432 & M40 engines that some of us have. I went through the ringer trying to get parts for a reasonable price when I replaced my 5432. Kubota "the engine" maker and Kubota "the tractor"...
Over the weekend, my v-belt broke. Further inspection indicated that what might be an "auxiliary water pump" seized, thereby stopping the rotation of one of the 3 pulleys around which the v-belt travels and causing the friction that caused the belt to break.

I need to replace the water pump on my Universal 5432. I believe that the corresponding Kubota tractor engine number is V-1501. Does anyone know if there is a difference between tractor water pumps and marine ones? (this is the fresh water pump).
