In rebuilding my boom I have to replace/reinstall the internal boom bails. They are basically a curved metal plate with a 3/16" hole in each end and a small bail welded to the center. (See pic.) Originally held in place with pop rivets.
I was thinking that maybe replacing the rivets with 1/4"...

i'm trying to remove the portlights to repair them but some of the screws are
not moving. i tried liquid wrench, a little hamering, and many screwdrivers.
Is there anything else to try.

I am trying to open the Navpod housing that holds my chartplotter. They used these screws that look like an Allen head screw with a post in the center. I suppose this is anti theft? How the heck do I get into the unit? Would like to try and remove the chartplotter.... Thanks, RT
