1980 Ericson 38 in Alameda, Craigslist

I've seen this 38 on Craiglist for a bit now. Looks decent, repowered, needs some standard TLC. I'm wondering if anyone has taken a look at it or knows about it at all?

Attractive price. Must be something that doesn't look right in person. The sloppy "rattle-can rebuild" on the engine seems like a red flag.

That skyward-pointing gas fitting clearly indicates this boat was used at Burning Man. Must have been a sight.

i read online that this was used to power the flux capacitor with a biogenerated fuel source from the holding tank. They tended to leak due to the high ratio of bs to methane molecules.
