26’-3 prop shaft strut

Currently replacing mine. The original had 4 bolts through the base, but weren’t threaded into anything. Not sure what the purpose was. The base was bedded into a white “bondo” type substance and the inside was glassed over which left a bit of a dome (underneath the fuel tank). The pic is after the fiber glass “dome” was removed and filler chipped away to reveal the top of the strut - bolts had been removed. Long story short, what is the filler/bondo material that the strut is bedded into?

The bolts were to help the strut “grab” the filler material. Thickened epoxy with strands of fiberglass tape followed by glassing over the entire thing with fiberglass cloth is the way to go.
