Alternator for VW Pathfinder 50

Is there a specific alternator that should go with a VW Pathfinder 50? We need a new alternator. Does anyone have advice on what to get or on any other details?

There should be a plate on the alternator with the manufacturer information. Or you could take it to an automotive electric shop and have it rebuilt.
