Any British Seagull outboard users here?

I grew up around British Seagull outboards and back then they were extremely reliable, durable and generally well suited to being ignored in harsh marine environments. I see them occasionally still being used by the diehards and they seem to still deliver good service albeit with some noise and smoke.

As "luck" would have it I picked up a nice old Seagull from one of my wifes coworkers who collects antique outboards. It runs pretty good and only cost $50.00. I hate heaving my 8hp Mariner off the dink to the stern mount and back. Its on the edge of what I can comfortably carry and one misstep carrying it and I or the boat will be damaged. The Seagull is one of the little ones, maybe 25-30lbs. I am considering using the Seagull for when I tow the dink. Am I insane? RT
