Anyone tried these products?

Thanks to a recent thread here that referenced this company, I got to wandering around their (large) web site.
http://www.blueperformance.com/pages/products.html

No prices listed so they must be wholesale only. I note that they do have a NW distributor, Fisheries Supply in Seattle. Good people.

Hard to tell just where the company is headquartered, but appears it might possibly be northern Europe.

There are some items there that I have not found anywhere else, like the flat-fold storage containers to attach to the inside of a boat.
http://www.blueperformance.com/page...l?../images/products/foldable-storage-box.jpg

They somewhat remind me of the way-cool removeable "soft lockers" that were used in the Laser 28.

If anyone has coments about their product quality and pricing, please chime in!

*We would love to find some reasonable-priced removable "lockers" or bags that we could pack up at home, and then just move 'em to the boat for cruising for a week. Something that would clip into place in the forepeak or along the hull side in the aft cabin.

(And yeah I noticed some strange lapses in identifying common boating terms, like "rope cover", "sea rail covers", and the hilarious "sea map bag". Perhaps the person actually typing in the html had zero sailing experience...) :nerd:

Thanks much,

Loren

I think so... The "cockpit bags" appear to be identical to the WM-branded ones, of which they have a small selection at the PDX store. I've been using one as a tramp bag on the hobie for three or four summers. In fact, I think I left it out on the tramp all winter. Still looks new. I think it came with mounting hardware, but I just bungee it on to the tramp. I use those loops to attach (with carabiners and lanyards) my car keys, hand-held VHF, phone. And also stuff the jib sheets under it

I did notice that mast bag on the Defender web site for $50-ish when I was looking for something else. It was under "mast hardware."

edit: Actually, it does have the "Blue Performance" label. It's just the same color as a lot of WM stuff. Well... it WAS before I left it out for the winter. Now more of a weathered gray... still works though.

I've Tried Blue Performance

I've had the winch handle bag for several years and it has held up well. I got the lifeline sheet bags two years ago and they're holding up. Generally happy with forma and function.

I have three of their Bulkead Sheet Combi Bags on my boat. The bags themselves seem to be sturdy but the little mesh pockets on the front of all of them have lost the elasticity in the top, making them saggy and prone to things falling out of the pocket. Otherwise they are useful. You can see the saggy pocket on this one:

I noticed those bags too! They're also sold via defender.com, a great discount shop, but I have no experience with the manufacturer.

Mast Bag

I've got the mast bag at the base of my... mast. Anywho, no complaints yet. Seems to be constructed well and has well outlasted my Robship line holders that faded within a week. Picked it up at West (worst?) Marine. You should be able to order anything from Blue Performance through WM. Some items might be special order though.
