Other than my Cowboys totally sucking, I've never been this frustrated!!
I thought I was going to launch today, but it seems I've run into some more problems.
The shaft and prop were pulled last week for cleaning and inspection, both are still in good shape. The prop blades were curled inward a tad bit by a prop shop for a little more gitty-up, and the shaft cleaned and reinstalled. The zinc was trashed, so that got replaced, the strut bearing was worn, so that got replaced.
So far so good right? Wrong!!
The engine mounts (on an A4) in the back of the engine were worn so badly the engine settled into the boat and wore out those areas. Both mounts in the back have rusted out completely and will need to be re-glassed.
After I'm done posting this, I'll be heading back out to the boat yard to take some pix of the repair. Now I'm looking to launch this coming weekend.
On the positive side the BY mechs are saying it'll run like glass when they're done with it. I think it'll be worth the wait.
