For wood, the best place I have found is Boulter Plywood. Shipping prices are incredibly low.
I bought all my lumber and plywood here for the latest dinghy I am building.

Before I found Boulter Plywood, I purchased teak and Holly from Homestead to redo the cabin sole in our CAL. Very good people to work with, but shipping cost was much, much higher.
