Looking for Bow anchor roller for a 74 E32-2. I saw and was directed from EYO thread, a roller that might work, but can’t find it now.
I have a mantis MKII and a lewmar 700 v . To install.. trying to figure out configuration of placement ,,any input or pics would help..

I faced this situation last summer, the pointy Ericson bow is a funky location to mount modern ground tackle. I couldn't find an elegant solution and bolted an off the shelf Lewmar roller at an angle. It's worked so far even rigged it with a bobstay to fly the kite from, the 1/2" diameter bolt the tack block attached to bent(need a better washer stack up) but the roller held up. It's anchored with 3/8" bolts with wide area washers thru several layers of glass on the underside. If the roller bends I'll just take it to a fab shop to beef it up. Also it's a 38 but if you don't have the forward stanchion mounts you have more wiggle room for angles. Here are some photos of my janky setup. I'll definitely follow along to see what you discover.

Thank you for the photos, . I have moved my nav lights to the pulpit, so one thing out of the way. It appears that I will have to possibly have to( like yours) raise the furler to accommodate the incoming anchor. There is no anchor locker hatch and the Lumar windless feeds the chain directly into the locker without a need for its own downpipe. It seems I need to pick up an anchor roller to figure out its positioning and direction leading to the windless itself, which might put the winless slightly off center. My concern is how long the anchor roller will be to accommodate the anchor and allowed to seat properly. Nervous to pull the trigger on a new roller without seeing it and lining all these things up. I am looking at a roller that is just shy of 20 inches. It seems to be the size that will allow plenty of leverage on deck and hopefully enough out over the bow to accommodate the anchor . This complete has been overwhelming and with no hands on help I need input from our community thank you so much for the photos gave me some knowledge to move forward with ideas. The project currently at a standstill because of winter and is ready to go in the spring, but I have no idea how I am to complete it without an extra set of hands. I so wanna see this girl sail again. By far the most hectic project I’ve ever started, but I will not give up.

I faced a similar issue. https://ericsonyachts.org/ie/ubs/focsle-rebuild-part-3.1059/

with the fo’c’sle in place you would need a riser aft of it to support the end of the anchor roller.

I used this one, it’s surprisingly robust.

I have ordered this roller as above , excited for it’s arrival…
Thanks bigd14,,, also I learned a new word today. I grew up in a sailing family, maybe did not learn/ or taught this one, as I had heard many a foul word, and would put this one to use in a comically inappropriate manner.
Fun tidbit!

I made a mockup of it with wood and with several helping hands temporarily installed the anchor to determine if it would fit and how far forward it should go. This was fine tuned once I got the roller in hand. It extended far enough out that I wanted to support it with the G10 plate. The Mantus anchors are a bit difficult to fit. They set nicely though!

And fo’c’sle (forecastle) may be bit of a stretch from its original description of the forward crew space on a big sailing ship but that’s what I have been calling it for want of another term.
