I am currently in Fiji and need some help with the infamous Atomic 4 engine.

Ericson 29 from 1971



1. My exhaust pipe going out of the engine has broken and i will replace it but i noticed that a lot of water was coming out of the hole when i looked at it when running?, how bad is that??????

2. i want to go to the canals of france and need to take down the mast, how easy is that on an ericson 29

The water that is coming into the boat from the broken exhaust can be pumped out, but the carbon monoxide that is probably accompaning the water is deadly. You should not operate engine before replacement of exhaust pipe.
