Pay to have a luff tape sewed on them. sew the tape yourself, or buy new or used sails that have the proper luff tape size.

I got back a tote with part of my class emblem on it, for instance (for an old tired out main). :D
After you mentioned him at the monthly meeting I looked the company up. Those are stylistically a significant notch above the standard old-sails bags one sees. A little dear in price, but if you have an old sail to donate, it's a pretty good deal.
Another similar company liked to get the story of the donating boat and include that info on a tag sewn in. A real nice touch, methinks.
