Reminds me of the guy - I don't remember what he did, but he got caught - who tried to escape Portland on a sailboat last year. Yeah, he didn't outrun anybody at six knots. I wonder if he had it set up as "Plan B," much like I do. Only Plan B can't include a high speed chase

Interesting, we got a notification from the CG over AIS that they were looking for a 41' stolen Hunter with a blue stripe "that might be connected with .." end of message. Don't know what the rest of the message would have said but it was cut off.

We were about 15 miles outside Pillar Point Harbor heading there for the night at the time. I still don't know how they send us those text messages but they pop up. They must have assumed that the Hunter didn't have AIS if they were trying to stay hidden ?
