Davits

I was given a pair of davits. I have just completed building a 7’- 9” wooden dinghy. It weighs approx. 100lbs. Raising my old inflatable (85lbs) onto the deck to secure was getting old and I expect the wooden one will also be a pain. Does anyone have any photos of a 35 or 38’ with davits. Photo of a 38 would be preferred as that is what I have. I do want it to look good or as good as a set of davits can look.

I'm not sure how much help these will be for you, but will post them anyway. It's a 35-3. Don't take a lot of photos of our davits, so the options are limited. You'll probably have to zoom in a little. Hope it helps somewhat.

Thanks to all for their photos. The tip on Kato Marine was the clincher. I was afraid it might make the boat look like it’s squatting when loaded, but all of your photos show that it is not so. At least not too much. I do believe I will be installing them.

When you get them installed could you please throw some pictures up? I'm headed down this road as well at some point this year. Can you identify which brand you have?
