Deck Shoes
I sail in the Northeast and have found in warm weather (Spring, Summer, early Fall in the Northeast) a shoe sold by Lands End works well. I just add a white, rolled down sock if I need warmth. It is light and comfortable. I think Lands End refers to them as after athletics casual or something like that. The tops are a light synthetic fabric that seems to breath and dry easily. The bottoms are a vynyl or rubber material with multi-tread designs and occasional deep grooves that run across the sole. I feel it provides good gripping and sluces excess water (within reason) from under your foot as you walk. Anyway, it 's worth lookin into since they are also not expensive. Some Sears Stores carry them.
