Question for other owners of the E26 with tillers.
I bought a 1988 this fall and have been doing a number of projects getting it ready for the spring. I wanted to put a tiller extension on. Although the previous owner didn't have an extension mounted, the port seatback does have a tiller lock box - so I don't know if this is simply a new tiller or not.
In any case, to attach the extension so that I can use the lock box, it means that I would need to mount the hardware right at the end of the tiller - the very place I want to put my hand.
Question: have any of you mounted tiller extensions? If so, what kind?
And if you didn't use a seatack tiller lock box, did you use a rope style Tiller Tamer or something else?
Thanks,
Bill
