E34-2 Masthead Questions

left is forward
right is aft

Does anyone know the maker/model of this masthead?

Topping Lift Questions
Topping lift is that cable between the black main halyard and the backstay.
- Might there be another internal sheave in the rear of the masthead to add a 2nd halyard to use as the topping lift (remove cable, change stuff in boom, etc.)?

Spinnaker Questions
- The yellow headsail halyard (next to the blue halyard in the wrap restrainer) is what is being used to hoist the gennaker in a sock. It is messy up there at that time - tack/gybe looks to cause chafe - so I've been snuffing. How reasonable is it to add a spinnaker crane? How would that be done? Has anyone done that?

Your masthead looks a bit different than mine, It's possible Pacific Seacraft changed vendors... As far as I know for my 87' E-34-2, I have a Kenyon Mast #4873 w/ a Trisect Masthead Assembly for 4873 Tapered Mast: K-11511. Rig Rite sells Kenyon parts. It's the only vendor I have found so far that does so.

On my configuration, I do not have an additional halyard at the rear of the masthead. I do however have 3 sheaves foreward presumably for 3 different headsail halyards, and 1 spinnaker bail.

There is a part number for a replacement spinnaker bail. I would recommend emailing Rig Rite, perhaps they will be able to help identify your particular masthead.

I've emailed both RIgRite and Sparcraft...

I need to go up there and look at how the wind transducer is attached. A crane may fit under it (dunno how secure that may be)?
