all engine rpm and prop efficiency questions you have to have speed thru the water.
I stand corrected. We have not had the boat out in heavy wind.
I saw 7.0 + at full throttle on the way back from the boat yard.
At 2500 rpm - 5.5 to 6.0 depending on wind
This trip we saw a lot of 7 on a reach with a number 3 (and true even after 1 reef on the main as the admiral doesn't care for heeling).
We have not surfed the boat this season, but previous record of 7.9 was flying gennaker - regular day waves/air. In hindsight, I'm pretty happy the worn axle on the Edson steering sheaves lasted long enough to have been replaced...
