I've got to say that in the 10 years I owned a 39, the best improvements I made were the addition of a max prop, and a custom rudder. Prior to
the max prop, the boat would barely back down and would prop walk 90 degrees before gathering sternway, even in zero wind. With the max,
we picked up a knot or so of boat speed under sail, and navigating under power became easy and predictable instead of a white knuckle exercise.
