I'm curious if it's necessary to epoxy the backing plates in place?

Angel, please use the "Signature" to list your boat model, year, engine and so on. The info then appears automatically after every post you make.

It's easy. Click on your logo at the top of the page, showing your avatar and name. Under that, choose "Signature" and add the info.

It saves us from asking again and again what boat and equipment you have. Say, what boat do you have again?
